Andy O’Brien was a featured speaker at HEFF 2018.

Andy O’Brien is the Chief of Operations at the Harvard Business School. He is in charge of all non-academic operations on the 40 acre 1.9 million square foot HBS campus. In this role Andy is responsible for fourteen different service groups ranging from capital program delivery to facilities operations & maintenance, food service, events and security. To deliver on these services in support of the School’s mission Andy works closely with the School’s senior leadership to guide the efforts of the 400 plus staff who work in the Operations group.

Andy has been with HBS since 2005. Prior to joining HBS he was a Sr. Vice President of a regional Construction Management firm and also served for seven years as an officer in the US Air Force. Andy has a BS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland and is a recent graduate of the HBS Advance Management Program (AMP). Andy is a strong supporter of Veterans’ causes and is a Board member of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. He resides in North Andover with his wife and college-aged son and daughter.
